Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- SAP ABAP programming experience
- SAP FS- RI experience
- SAP FS-CD experience
- Advanced experience with software configuration and modern programming languages
- Ability to troubleshoot challenging problems across the platform & its HW/SW components
- Proven experience in Scrum and DevOps methodologies
- Ability to guide and mentor junior team members
- Lead medium projects
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems or other related experience
- 4+ years of experience in SAP release practices and environments or other related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Certification in any Certification that relates to the platforms supported
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides support on architectural design and maintenance of the SAP platform’s (COTS, SaaS, ERP) environment with distributed components
- Ensures compliance with the organization's requirements through the implementation of, auditing of, and adherence to policies, procedures, and security standards
- Plans software upgrades, patching, & plugin installations in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Monitors performance, resolves problems, & manages component capacity issues
- Design, test, develop, configure, & maintain integrations to platform’s applications
- Adhere to the platform’s security and coding standards for resilience, data, and security
- Review business requirements to deploy the best solution, including configuring, coding, & d ebugging
- Work closely with cross-functional departments to communicate statuses & technical proposals
- Deploy and configure platform applications tailored to company needs
- Design technical solutions, configure/customize, test, maintain the platform applications to meet <span style="font-size:12.0pt
