Job Summary:
Responsible for organizing and tracking training for hourly production employees.
Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and organize training plans
- Collaborating with Supervisors to determine employees areas of improvement
- Direct and coordinate production training activities and priorities to obtain maximum efficiency of training competencies aligned with production department goals
- Maintain and track training paperwork for hourly employees
- Identify training gaps and take appropriate steps to close the gap
- Assure all employee training checklists are being completed on time
- Meet with each employee in training to ensure training is being conducted
- Follow company GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety rules and policies
- Follow all general work rules and policies
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives
- Support employee retention initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven leadership skills
- Bilingual preferred
- Ability to improve unity of the production department with other areas
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write correspondence, ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in Excel, Outlook, Word
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
- Food manufacturing experience a plus
- Experience with Digital Production Systems (Redzone), and ERP Systems (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle) a plus</span
