Data sources

Company information on Jobiwork comes from official registers, open datasets and each company's own website. Open datasets only suggest where to look: a website, logo or careers page counts only after we find it on the company's own site. Job listings come from each company's own careers site; job boards are never used. A register entry is not a verified employer.

• Ministry of Corporate Affairs company master data (data.gov.in)

  Company and LLP registration details: name, identifier, status, class, capital, state, registration date. No director personal data, no personal emails or phone numbers.

  Licence: Government Open Data Licence – India. Credit: Contains Ministry of Corporate Affairs Company Master Data, via data.gov.in; not endorsed by MCA.

• Wikidata

  Suggests a company's official website and LinkedIn company page address, LEI and logo file. Websites count only after we confirm them on the company's own site; LinkedIn pages are shown as links and never visited by us.

• GLEIF — Legal Entity Identifier records

  The LEI of a company and its direct and ultimate parent company (the “Group / parent company” line on company pages).

• OpenStreetMap

  Suggests a business's website, which we then confirm on the company's own site. Maps on company pages also use OpenStreetMap. We do not copy OpenStreetMap addresses or coordinates into our data.

• People Data Labs Free Company Dataset

  Suggests company websites (confirmed on the company's own site before use), LinkedIn company page addresses (links only) and industry / size hints.

• Common Crawl

  Helps us find the pages of Indian company websites that show a company's CIN, so we know where to look. The website itself is then checked directly.

  Place categories and contact details matched to companies, shown with their source.

We never store personal email addresses or phone numbers from registers, and rows that describe a person are left out of every open dataset we use. To correct or remove a company page, use the “Remove or correct a page” link below.
