Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Location: Alabama Work Arrangement: Remote / Telehealth Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Salary: $115,000–$120,000 per year with full benefits Position Summary We are hiring a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker to provide remote behavioral health services to clients in Alabama. This role combines psychotherapy with the broader perspective of clinical social work, including attention to personal, family, and social factors that may affect a client’s mental health. You will work directly with clients, maintain responsibility for your clinical records, and help identify additional resources or services when needs extend beyond therapy. Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy through secure telehealth sessions
- Review psychosocial factors that may be affecting a client’s well-being
- Address emotional, behavioral, and life-related concerns during treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Identify when community resources, referrals, or additional services may be appropriate
- Use professional judgment when client needs or risk levels change
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries
- Follow Alabama LICSW licensing, ethical, and telehealth requirements
Requirements
• Active Alabama LICSW license in good standing
- Active Alabama LICSW license in good standing
- Comfort using telehealth tools, electronic documentation systems, and remote client communication
- Strong assessment skills, ethical judgment, and ability to manage a full-time caseload
- Ability to support clients with both emotional concerns and practical life stressors
- Clear writing skills and a reliable private workspace for virtual sessions
