We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a Mental Health, Alcohol, and Other Drugs team in the Central Australia region. This role offers a rare opportunity to work across both forensic and community mental health settings in one of the most unique and culturally rich parts of Australia. This position is ideal for a specialist who is passionate about making a difference in remote and Indigenous health while contributing to teaching and training programs for medical students and psychiatry registrars. - Specialist Clinician: $248,765 - $304,012
- Senior Specialist Clinician: $314,354 - $347,549
- Additional allowances:
- Professional Training Allowance: $21,603 - $27,967
- Second Roster Allowance: $41,433
- Private Practice Allowance: $103,538 - $145,005
- Salary packaging benefits: $9,010
- 6 weeks annual leave + 2 weeks professional development leave

About the Role
- Deliver expert psychiatric care across community and forensic settings (50:50 split).
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to improve mental health outcomes.
- Contribute to teaching psychiatry to medical students and postgraduate trainees.
- Flexible working arrangements considered.
What You’ll Bring
- Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent.
- Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- A genuine interest in rural and remote health and a commitment to culturally sensitive care.
