Azure Cloud Engineer Experience 5–7 years Location Hyderabad Role Overview We are looking for a Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Managed Services team. The role will be responsible for managing and supporting customer Azure environments, ensuring availability, performance, security, and operational stability. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on Azure infrastructure experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work directly with customers during incidents and operational discussions. The role requires an engineer who can independently diagnose complex cloud issues, perform basic infrastructure deployments, drive automation, and continuously improve the operational environment. Key Responsibilities Azure Cloud Operations
•
- Manage day-to-day operations of customer Azure environments.
- Monitor availability, performance, capacity, and health of Azure resources.
- Manage Azure VMs, VNets, Storage, Load Balancers, NSGs, Azure Monitor and other core Azure services.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, configuration changes, and operational activities.
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs, operational processes, and security standards.
Deployment & Infrastructure Management
•
- Perform basic to moderate Azure infrastructure deployments and configuration changes.
- Provision and configure Azure resources based on approved designs and change requests.
- Support application and infrastructure teams during deployments and releases.
- Follow Infrastructure-as-Code and automation practices wherever applicable.
Troubleshooting & Incident Management
•
- Act as an L2/L3 technical escalation point for Azure-related incidents.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving compute, networking, storage, connectivity, performance, and availability.
- Participate in major incident management and provide timely technical updates.
- Perform root cause analysis and prepare technical RCA reports.
- Identify recurring issues and implement permanent fixes to reduce incident volume.
Monitoring & Observability
•
- Monitor Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and other monitoring platforms.
- Analyze alerts, logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues proactively.
- Improve monitoring coverage and reduce false-positive/noise alerts.
- Support the development of operational dashboards and health reports.
Automation & Operational Improvement
•
- Identify repetitive operational activities and automate them using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python or other appropriate tools.
- Contribute to Terraform/Bicep-based infrastructure automation.
- Drive initiatives to reduce manual effort, improve reliability and reduce MTTR.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge articles.
Customer Management
•
- Work directly with customer technical teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in client meetings
