Lead Firmware Software engineer in Multimedia / Camera
THE ROLE: AMD is looking for an influential software engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks . You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.
THE PERSON: The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to lead the architecture, development, and optimization of safety-critical firmware for next-generation Automotive ISP platforms . Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and drive firmware architecture for automotive ISP and camera processing platforms.
- Design, develop, optimize, and debug embedded firmware in C for real-time, safety-critical systems.
- Lead development of device drivers, interrupt handling, DMA, memory management, boot flows, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Drive hardware-software integration, platform bring-up, and system-level debugging.
- Collaborate with silicon, Linux drivers, safety, and validation teams to deliver robust firmware solutions.
- Lead technical reviews and drive engineering best practices.
- Identify technical risks and execute mitigation strategies across complex programs.
