City Wide has two janitor opportunities with our client, City of Lee's Summit Police location. $16.00 per hour . This location is at 10 NE Tudor Rd, Lee's Summit, MO . We are looking for candidates in the general location for two shifts:
- Mon - Fri, 6:30 am-3:00 pm
- Mon - Fri, 5:30 pm to 2:00am
What You Will Do
• Clean assigned work areas to City Wide standards and finish within the scheduled time.
- Clean assigned work areas to City Wide standards and finish within the scheduled time.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, empty trash, and tidy offices and common areas.
- Vacuum, dust, sweep, and mop floors and stairs.
- Use and maintain cleaning equipment and hand tools.
- Follow safety procedures, including proper use of chemicals and PPE.
- Report building issues or problem areas to your supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is highly desired.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned work sites, including evening hours.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor’s direction.
- A smartphone that you can use to clock in/out for assigned shifts.
- Ability to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Must agree and successfully complete City of Lee's Summit background check.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Frequent walking on hard surfaces, standing, bending, lifting, and repeated cleaning motions for extended periods. • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation. • Exposure to cleaning supplies, fumes, dust, moderate to loud noise, and a fast-paced setting. • Limited sedentary time.
