Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & development
- Design and implement decoupled front-end applications and component libraries.
- Implement server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) where appropriate.
- Ensure modular, testable, and maintainable code.
- API integration
- Integrate storefronts with commerce platform APIs (Storefront APIs, SCAPI/OCAPI, GraphQL) and back-end systems.
- Connect payment gateways, headless CMS, ERP/CRM, and personalization tools.
- Performance & reliability
- Optimize Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, page speed, and mobile responsiveness.
- Implement caching strategies, CDN optimization, and progressive enhancement (PWA where applicable).
- DevOps, testing & deployment
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage releases, and use version control (Git).
- Ensure automated testing, monitoring, and observability in production.
- Collaboration & delivery
- Work closely with UX/UI designers, back-end engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver customer-facing features.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Security & compliance
- Follow best practices for secure handling of payments and customer data, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Required Qualifications
• 5–8+ years of professional web development or e-commerce engineering experience.
- 5–8+ years of professional web development or e-commerce engineering experience.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and production experience with React.js.
- Experience with modern frameworks and patterns: Next.js, Hydrogen, SSR/SSG.
- Proficient with GraphQL and REST APIs, webhooks, and API design patterns.
- Familiarity with one or more enterprise commerce platforms (Shopify Plus, SFCC, Adobe Commerce).
- Proven experience improving performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse).
- Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

- Knowledge of serverless functions, Docker, and container orchestration basics.
- Experience with analytics, A/B testing, personalization, and accessibility (WCAG).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with monitoring tools (Sentry, New Relic, Datadog).
