About the job
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Power BI Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of data analytics, SQL, Excel, and Power BI, along with a strong interest in transforming raw data into meaningful business insights. As a Power BI Intern, you will work with experienced professionals to develop interactive dashboards, create reports, analyze datasets, and support data-driven decision-making. Position: Power BI Intern Location: Remote Work Employment Type: Internship Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Assist in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Collect, clean, transform, and organize data from multiple sources.
- Write basic SQL queries to extract and analyze data from databases.
- Use Microsoft Excel for data preparation, validation, and analysis.
- Learn and implement Power Query for data transformation and data cleaning.
- Develop a foundational understanding of DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Assist in creating data visualizations, charts, tables, and business performance reports.
- Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies in reports.
- Collaborate with team members to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights.
- Document dashboard requirements, data sources, and reporting processes.
• Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and dashboard development.
- Foundational understanding of SQL queries, including SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, and JOIN.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables.
- Understanding of data analysis, data cleaning, and visualization concepts.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Power Query and basic DAX functions.
- Exposure to relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Knowledge of data modeling, relationships, and star schema concepts.
- Experience building academic, personal, or internship projects using Power BI.
- Basic understanding of statistics and business KPIs.
