Job Description A career that lets your passion shine:
- Assist with preventative maintenance, Rooms Maintenance programs, and swimming pool procedures, including backwashing of filters
- Complete daily pool chemistry readings and assist with water treatment chemical monitoring and dosage
- Carry out handyman and maintenance tasks across guest rooms, front of house, and back of house areas
- Replace light bulbs and perform limited painting tasks as required
- Complete room inspection and daily inspection checklists as scheduled
- Isolate/de-isolate smoke detectors and complete Vingcard/Elsafe lock reads and re-programming
- Clean plant rooms and ensure all works are carried out to applicable codes and standards
- Assist with departmental clerical duties , with tasks determined on a weekly basis
- Complete jobs registered on the TRITON works system, ensuring all guestrooms receive maintenance three times per year
- Carry out shift duties, including afternoon and weekend work
- Show attention to detail in all tasks performed
Qualifications What you will bring to the role:
- Hands-on maintenance or trade experience across general engineering, handyman, or facilities tasks
- Solid administrative and clerical skills, with computer literacy to support departmental record-keeping
- Sound knowledge of safe manual handling and workplace health and safety practices
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong eye for detail
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including afternoons and weekends
- The physical capability to meet the demands of the role (standing, walking, lifting, climbing, and intermittent chemical handling)
- A genuine commitment to growth and development within the Sofitel brand
