Job Details
Developer - Azure (Integrations, Data Factory, Function App, Logic App, Insights)
What you will be doing You'll build and run the Azure integration layer that connects Dynamics 365 to the rest of Cencora for the PRISM program. That means designing the message flows, writing the Functions and Logic Apps that move and transform data, defining the JSON contracts between systems, and keeping all of it healthy in production once it ships. You'll sit in the D365 Center of Excellence, work day to day with the PRISM delivery teams and our AMS partner, and own your integrations end to end: design, build, test, deploy, and support.
PRISM runs on a global ERP footprint across 25+ countries, so the integrations you build carry real order, finance, and compliance data at scale. Reliability, observability, and clean error handling matter more here than clever code.
Primary duties and responsibilities · Design and build event-driven and batch integrations between Dynamics 365 F&O, Power Platform, and enterprise systems using Azure Service Bus (queues, topics, subscriptions, dead-lettering), Azure Function Apps, and Azure Logic Apps including JSON paramters/objects. · Build and maintain Azure Data Factory and Synapse pipelines for data movement, transformation, and reconciliation, including batch loads, incremental loads, and data-quality checks. · Define and govern JSON payload contracts and message schemas; version them, document them, and enforce them through validation at the integration boundary. · Implement error handling, retry, idempotency, and dead-letter patterns; instrument integrations with Application Insights and Azure Monitor so failures are visible before the business reports them. · Integrate with Power Platform components (Dataverse, Power Automate, model-driven and canvas apps) where PRISM processes span D365 and Power Apps. · Own integrations through the full lifecycle in Azure DevOps: user stories, design, build, unit and integration testing, CI/CD deployment across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production, cutover, and hypercare. · Support data conversion and migration activities: mock loads, technical validation, and reconciliation between source and target systems. · Provide L3 support for production integrations, work root cause with Problem Management, and hold the AMS partner to agreed fixes and timelines. · Write technical design documents, runbooks, and integration specifications that another engineer can pick up without a walkthrough. · Review designs and code from other developers, including vendor teams, and push back when a design creates technical debt or won't scale.
What should your background look like Experience and education · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. · 3+ years in software or integration engineering, with at least 2 years building production integrations on Azure. · Delivered at least one enterprise ERP or CRM integration program end to end (design through go-live and hypercare). Dynamics 365 F&O or CE experience is strongly preferred. · Experience working in a SAFe Agile or Scrum delivery model with Azure DevOps for backlog, pipelines, and release management. Required technical skills · Azure Service Bus: topics, subscriptions, sessions, dead-letter handling, message ordering, and duplicate detection. · Azure Function Apps in C#/.NET (Python acceptable) including durable functions, triggers, bindings, and secure configuration through Key Vault and managed identities. · Azure Logic Apps (Standard and Consumption), including custom connectors, B2B/EDI scenarios, and workflow error handling. · Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines: pipeline design, data flows, parameterization, triggers, and monitoring. · JSON schema design, payload mapping and transformation, and REST/OData API development and consumption. · SQL and Azure SQL Database, including performance tuning for high-volume integration and staging tables. · Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics (KQL) for diagnostics and alerting. · Git-based source control, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Preferred skills · Power Platform integration: Dataverse APIs, Power Automate cloud flows, custom connectors, and the Dataverse/D365 F&O dual-write and virtual entity patterns. · Dynamics 365 F&O data entities, Data Management Framework (DMF), recurring integrations, and business events. · Microsoft Fabric or Power BI for integration reporting and data lineage. · Kingswaysoft or SSIS for migration and batch scenarios. · Exposure to pharmaceutical distribution, healthcare, or other regulated environments where audit trails and data integrity are non-negotiable. · Microsoft certifications such as AZ-204 (Azure Developer), AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect), DP-203 (Data Engineering), or PL-400 (Power Platform Developer).
How you work · You explain technical trade-offs to product owners and business analysts in plain language and don't hide behind jargon. · You document as you build, not after. · You're comfortable working across time zones with US-based stakeholders and a distributed delivery team, including some overlap with US Eastern hours for design sessions and cutovers. · You treat production support as part of engineering, not someone else's problem.
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Less than 2 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, software development, or a related field required.
Certification in cloud platforms, programming languages, or equivalent preferred.
