Job Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Railway Electrician who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia .
As an electrician you will be working to execute the ETCS L2 project. You will work closely with the Signalling Electrical Supervisor to ensure all electrical work is undertaken to a high standard.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for undertaking the physical construction activities.
- Responsible for executing construction activities by interpreting signalling documentation and drawings and functional construction documentation.
- Support the Electrical team and subcontractors to deliver the ETCS L2 project plan.
- Undertake all electrical works, in accordance with the project delivery plan.
- Comply with all Heath Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.
Required skills and experience:
- Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.
- 2+ years in Railway signalling.
- Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.
- Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
