Power Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Min Experience: 5+ years Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India JobType: full-time Requirements  Own the complete hardware design cycle for power electronic products (AC-DC, DC-DC, chargers, adapters, inverters, etc.) from requirements gathering to mass production.  Develop circuit architecture, select topologies, and execute detailed schematic design for high-efficiency power stages.  Perform PCB layout design in Altium Designer with emphasis on EMI/EMC, thermal management, creepage/clearance, and manufacturability.  Conduct component selection and derating analysis for power semiconductors, magnetics, control ICs, and protection devices.  Validate magnetic components (transformers, inductors) and ensure optimized performance under thermal and electrical constraints.  Work on thermal modeling, heat sink design, and packaging trade-offs.  Validate designs through bench testing, debugging, and characterization – efficiency, power quality, EMI/EMC compliance, and safety certifications.  Collaborate with firmware/embedded engineers to implement and tune control strategies (PFC, PWM, digital control loops).  Interface with manufacturing and sourcing teams to support prototyping, testing, and volume production readiness.  Ensure designs meet reliability, safety, and regulatory standards (IEC, UL, BIS, etc.).
