ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an AI/ML product team as its founding product designer and engineer. You will shape the product experience from early concepts through production, helping operators understand and work effectively with AI agents.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own user flows and take product ideas from sketches through frontend implementation.
- Design and build clear interfaces for complex operational workflows.
- Explore interaction patterns that make AI agents understandable, useful, and trustworthy.
- Create reusable components and design system patterns that support consistent, efficient development.
- Work directly with customers, test prototypes, and iterate based on feedback.
- Partner with backend engineers to bring product experiences into production.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 4 years of experience designing and building products at fast-growing startups, or exceptional early-career work demonstrating strong product taste and shipping ability.
- A portfolio or personal website showcasing UI/UX work you personally took from concept to production, with examples of contemporary interface design.
- Experience owning product design decisions, user flows, and interface behavior, including the ability to explain the business logic behind a workflow.
- Strong frontend skills and experience building production interfaces with React and TypeScript.
- Good visual judgment, systems thinking, initiative, and a willingness to share work early and balance craft with speed.
- Interest in AI experiences and software that lets agents take action for users; experience with operational software is relevant.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $160,000 to $220,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
On-site in New York, New York, United States.
