Head of E-commerce & Technology Transformation About the Role : AH International Private Limited is looking for a results-driven leader to lead e-commerce, technology transformation, business growth, and agentic AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience building or scaling e-commerce platforms, driving technology initiatives, improving business performance, and leading teams or cross-functional projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, commercial understanding, execution, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities 1. Technology and Team Leadership • Lead technology and product initiatives, establish priorities, and ensure timely delivery. • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Guide team members, strengthen technical capabilities, and support recruitment as the business grows. • Translate business objectives into technology roadmaps and execution plans. • Work closely with company leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
2. E-commerce Platform Development and Transformation
- Own the technology direction, architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability of the e-commerce platform.
- Identify gaps and improve platform capabilities, integrations, infrastructure, and customer experience.
- Lead product and platform development from planning through implementation.
- Improve website performance, usability, security, and operational reliability.
- Ensure the platform can support increasing traffic, transactions, customers, and business complexity.
3. E-commerce Growth and Business Performance
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, conversion rates, customer acquisition, repeat purchases, and customer lifetime value.
- Use analytics, customer insights, and experimentation to improve business performance.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, technology, and operations teams to execute growth initiatives.
- Improve pricing, merchandising, product discovery, customer retention, and average order value.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency through technology and automation.
- Track business performance using relevant KPIs and deliver measurable outcomes.
4. Agentic AI and Intelligent Automation
- Identify opportunities to use agentic AI, AI agents, and intelligent automation across the business.
- Develop and implement AI-powered solutions and automated workflows.
- Evaluate AI technologies and integrate suitable solutions into existing systems.
- Explore AI applications in customer service, product discovery, sales, marketing, and e-commerce operations.
- Move beyond prototypes to reliable, production-ready implementations.
- Ensure AI solutions are secure, measurable, reliable, and appropriately governed.
5. Technology Strategy and Execution
- Make sound decisions regarding system architecture, APIs, third-party integrations, cloud infrastructure, and engineering practices.
- Align technology investments with business objectives and growth priorities.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and lead improvements in platform performance and development processes.
- Establish appropriate standards for software quality, security, testing, and system reliability.
- Evaluate technology tools and vendors based on business requirements and long-term value.
- Monitor project delivery and ensure technology initiatives generate measurable business benefits.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant professional experience in e-commerce, technology, product development, or digital transformation.
- Proven experience building, managing, improving, or scaling an e-commerce platform or digital commerce business.
- Experience taking ownership of technology projects, products, teams, or cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce business models and the commercial drivers of online growth.
- Experience delivering measurable improvements in platform performance, customer experience, revenue, conversion, or operational efficiency.
- Understanding of system architecture, APIs, third-party integrations, databases, cloud infrastructure, and platform scalability.
- Practical understanding of analytics, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of e-commerce operations, including catalogues, inventory, orders, fulfilment, and customer experience.
- Familiarity with agentic AI, AI agents, LLM-based applications, or intelligent automation. Production implementation experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, decision-making, and execution skills.
- Ability to connect technology decisions with business outcomes and take end-to-end ownership of initiatives.
Preferred Industry and Company Experience: Experience at established e-commerce companies, digital commerce businesses, or high-growth technology startups is an advantage. Relevant companies include Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, Nykaa, Lenskart, FirstCry, Purplle, or similar organizations. Candidates from other companies and industries are welcome if they demonstrate relevant experience, technical capability, ownership, and measurable results.
