IT Project Manager - ServiceNow & IT PlatformsLocation: Irving, TX (Onsite) | ContractOverviewOur client is seeking a mid-level IT Project Manager to lead IT projects and ServiceNow or comparable IT service management (ITSM) platform initiatives for its IT Operations team, from planning through implementation and closeout. This is an individual-contributor role that requires independent ownership of projects, including taking over projects already in progress; hands-on platform configuration or engineering is not required.ResponsibilitiesLead IT and ServiceNow/ITSM projects from initiation through implementation, transition to operations and closeout.Take over in-flight projects: assess scope, commitments, risks and dependencies and establish a clear delivery plan.Maintain project charters, scope, schedules, milestones, resource plans and RAID logs; track costs against budget.Facilitate requirements, planning and status sessions; document decisions, owners and due dates.Coordinate platform owners, process owners, engineers, architects, security, vendors and business stakeholders.Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change requests and obtain required approvals.Coordinate implementations, integrations and infrastructure changes (network, compute, storage, cloud and data center), including testing, cutover, deployment readiness and rollback planning.Coordinate system testing, UAT, defect resolution and stakeholder sign-off.Escalate blockers early with practical options.Maintain documentation; coordinate training, support readiness, operational handoff and lessons learned.Provide concise, executive-ready status reports.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree.5+ years of relevant IT project delivery experience, including ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platform projects.Project management experience in both IT environments and ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms (implementation, enhancement or integration projects).Working knowledge of ITSM processes: incident, problem, change and service request management.Ability to independently manage scope, schedules, resources, risks, dependencies and change control across multiple workstreams.Strong facilitation, stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to understand infrastructure and platform concepts and translate them into business impacts.Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira or similar tools.Preferred QualificationsDirect experience delivering infrastructure and/or ServiceNow projects.Platform integrations, workflow improvements, service catalog or CMDB initiatives.Large, complex environments with third-party vendors.Infrastructure migrations, refreshes or modernization.PMP preferred; ITIL Foundation or ServiceNow certification a plus.Pay rate: $55/hr. This is a 6 months contract position, onsite in Irving, TX. Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders.
