The Delivery Manager will lead enterprise-wide implementations and acquisitions, while providing hands-on program leadership across multiple operating companies. This role requires extensive experience delivering JD Edwards EnterpriseOne programs, strong command of ERP implementation methodology, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams, including business analysts, technical developers, and vendor resources, through complex, multi-phase delivery efforts. The Delivery Manager will directly manage a project team of approximately 10 to 20 resources, including internal staff and contractors.
What You'll Do
- Own the delivery of project milestones, budget tracking, and resource allocation for JD Edwards implementations, upgrades, and rollouts, partnering with the PMO on the overall program schedule, governance structure, steering committee reporting, and KPIs needed to keep the program on track;
- Work closely with business stakeholders and functional leads to oversee requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design sessions;
- Coordinate functional and technical workstreams across modules such as Finance, P2P, Equipment, Workforce Management, Project Costing, and Contract and Service Billing to ensure the delivered solution meets business needs;
- Oversee cutover planning, data migration, and go-live activities, and direct testing efforts including system integration testing and user acceptance testing to validate functionality prior to deployment;
- Work in close partnership with the Operations team to align milestone delivery with business readiness and operational priorities, and coordinate with the PMO to keep the program schedule and reporting current;
- Manage relationships with system integrators, JDE consultants, and third-party vendors;
- Drive change management and organizational readiness activities, and ensure adherence to the chosen project methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and internal PMO standards;
- Provide program-level risk and issue management by identifying delivery risks early, escalating appropriately, and driving resolution with the responsible workstream owners, the PMO, and Operations stakeholders as needed;
- Provide day-to-day leadership of a project team of 10 to 20 resources, including assigning work, managing performance and capacity across workstreams, and escalating staffing needs to functional and vendor leads as required;
- Following go-live, oversee stabilization and hypercare activities in partnership with the PMO, and coordinate knowledge transfer to ongoing support teams;
- Mentor project team members, promote knowledge sharing, and provide delivery leadership across the organization; and
- Apply a strong understanding of ERP program management and business process fundamentals, including how project scope, budget, and milestone delivery interact with functional design across General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Payroll, and other enterprise applications integrated with JD Edwards.
