Robert Half is actively recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager/ Consultant for a Utilities company. The consultant’s primary responsibilities will be supporting the accounting team with month end close, booking journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, doing flux analysis and complex accounting entries. In addition, the consultant will need a strong understanding of GASB accounting. This role is onsite in Chino, CA.Technical Skills:- Payroll reconciliation (sick, vacation, accruals) and validating the account balances- Capital projects (depreciation, additions, disposals)- Strong month end close experience (Booking entries, Reconciliations, critical thinking skills)- Analyze monthly financial statements’ actual to budget and balance sheet flux analysis- Support external audit if needed- SAP and GASB (Big Plus)- Heavy excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, large data sets)
