Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support daily receivables activity for our team in Hauppauge, New York. This position focuses on maintaining accurate customer balances, applying incoming payments, and following up on outstanding commercial accounts in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with billing records, cash posting, and customer communication.Responsibilities:• Process customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records to support timely billing and payment tracking.• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts and resolve discrepancies related to cash receipts.• Monitor aging reports and conduct commercial collection outreach to secure payment on past-due balances.• Investigate account differences by reviewing billing details, payment activity, and supporting documentation.• Work with internal teams and customers to address invoice questions, account status updates, and payment concerns.• Reconcile receivable activity on a routine basis to ensure account balances remain complete and accurate.• Prepare and maintain documentation related to collections, cash applications, and billing transactions.
