Buyer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Buyer to join a manufacturing team in Stoughton, Massachusetts. This is a Long-term Contract position focused on securing materials and services, supporting reliable inventory levels, and helping production stay on schedule. The role partners with cross-functional teams to make informed purchasing decisions, improve material flow, and contribute to cost-conscious operations.Responsibilities:• Source and purchase raw materials, components, and outside services needed to meet production and business requirements.• Track inventory activity and help maintain stock at appropriate levels to reduce shortages while limiting unnecessary surplus.• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Receiving, and Finance to support timely procurement and efficient workflow.• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, and delivery commitments to help maintain dependable supply and competitive costs.• Review purchasing data and material usage trends to support planning decisions and identify excess or aging inventory.• Create, update, and manage purchase orders and related records to ensure accuracy across procurement activities.• Help resolve issues involving order discrepancies, late deliveries, and material availability that may affect production schedules.
