Remote: Litigation Legal Secretary (CA experience required)

Robert Half Legal is partnering with a highly regarded boutique law firm in its search for a Litigation Legal Assistant.This firm was founded by attorneys from leading national and international firms and is known for its sophisticated practice in corporate, real estate, entertainment, and complex litigation. The need has arisen following the arrival of a new New York-based partner, Randy Friedberg, and this role will provide direct litigation support to his desk while also assisting with the migration of case files into NetDocuments.This is a fully remote, full-time contract opportunity working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, during Pacific Time business hours. The pay range is $40-$45/hour, and the assignment is open-ended with an ASAP start.Responsibilities:Manage electronic and hard-copy court filings in California State, Federal, and Appellate courtsSupport California litigation matters and ensure compliance with California court rules and proceduresSchedule, coordinate, and confirm meetings, court dates, remote appearances, and depositionsInitiate conflict checks, compile party information, and assist with drafting engagement lettersCreate document shells and organize exhibits for discovery, pleadings, and trial preparationMaintain master service lists, case captions, and deposition exhibit logs in ExcelConduct basic legal research, pull documents from Westlaw and court dockets, and maintain case filesFormat, redline, and upload large documents using Microsoft Office, Adobe, Workshare, macros, and NetDocuments
