Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day payment operations for a team based in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong attention to detail, accuracy in invoice handling, and confidence working across high-volume accounts payable activities. The role focuses on maintaining timely payment processing, organized financial records, and dependable support for vendor transactions.Responsibilities:• Review incoming invoices, assign accurate general ledger coding, and prepare items for processing in accordance with company procedures.• Manage accounts payable workflows by verifying documentation, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring payment requests are complete and approved.• Process vendor payments through ACH transactions and check runs while maintaining accuracy and meeting scheduled deadlines.• Reconcile payable records against supporting documents and follow up on exceptions to keep financial data current and reliable.• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address invoice questions, payment status inquiries, and account issues professionally.• Maintain organized payment files and supporting records to strengthen audit readiness and support reporting needs.• Monitor outstanding items and help prioritize payment activity to avoid delays, duplicate payments, or missed obligations.
