Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a construction and contractor organization in Honolulu, Hawaii. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone with hands-on accounting support experience who enjoys balancing administrative tasks with core financial duties. The role will contribute to daily accounting operations by supporting payables, receivables, billing, payroll, and account reconciliation activities in a fast-paced office environment. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities:• Process vendor invoices accurately and support timely payment of accounts payable obligations.• Prepare customer billing and assist with tracking incoming payments to maintain current accounts receivable records.• Enter financial and operational data into accounting systems with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.• Support payroll-related administrative tasks and help ensure employee payment information is handled correctly.• Reconcile account balances and investigate discrepancies to help maintain reliable financial records.• Assist with routine clerical and office support duties, including occasional local errands as needed for business operations.• Maintain organized documentation for invoices, payments, and accounting files to support internal recordkeeping.• Work within Vista and related accounting tools to complete daily transactions and reporting activities.
