Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-focused Accounting Clerk to join a team in Oak Brook, Illinois in a contract capacity with the potential for a long-term opportunity. This opportunity is well suited for someone with a solid foundation in accounts receivable and general accounting who can step in quickly and support daily financial operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and motivated to grow into a long-term contributor within the accounting function. Part Time 30hrs a week.Responsibilities:• Manage daily accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on time.• Apply incoming payments and post cash receipts while maintaining complete and up-to-date account records.• Review customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing or payment issues efficiently.• Conduct collection outreach and follow up on outstanding balances in a thorough manner.• Assist with account reconciliations to support accuracy across financial records and reporting.• Provide general accounting assistance, including data entry, invoice handling, and administrative support for the department.• Prepare basic financial reports and help organize accounting documentation for internal use.• Take on additional accounting-related assignments as business needs evolve.The salary range for this position is $22 to $24.
