File Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to join a Contract assignment in Middletown, New York. This position supports a high-volume records management initiative by converting paper documents into organized digital files and maintaining accuracy throughout each step of the process. The role also includes general clerical assistance to help keep daily office operations running smoothly.Responsibilities:• Prepare, sort, and review physical records before scanning to ensure documents are complete and ready for digitization.• Scan paper files into electronic systems and verify that images are clear, correctly labeled, and stored in the appropriate locations.• Maintain organized filing practices for both physical and digital records to support easy retrieval and proper retention.• Perform quality checks on scanned materials and resolve indexing or document order issues when discrepancies are identified.• Handle large volumes of files efficiently while meeting project deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.• Assemble packets and complete routine administrative tasks that support office and records-related activities.• Provide general clerical support, including document handling, filing, and other duties assigned to assist the broader team.
