Accounts Payable

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable specialist to join a manufacturing organization in Middleburg Heights, Ohio in a fully onsite role. This Long-term Contract opportunity is expected to begin as a 6-month contract with the potential to convert to a permanent position, offering steady work in a fast-paced accounting environment. The person in this role will support invoice processing, vendor communication, account research, and data accuracy while helping the team maintain timely and organized payment operations.Responsibilities:• Review invoices that are pending receipt confirmation, investigate pricing issues, and coordinate with shared services to move transactions forward accurately.• Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and supporting records to ensure billing details, terms, and payment information are correct before processing.• Research outstanding invoice concerns by examining vendor statements and resolving payment application discrepancies.• Respond promptly to questions from suppliers and internal branch teams, providing clear follow-up and issue resolution.• Examine expense-related invoices and assign charges to the appropriate cost centers for review and approval.• Forward materials-related invoices to the proper contacts to obtain purchase order references and receiving documentation needed for matching.• Process debit and credit activity with suppliers, monitor company credits, and make sure available offsets are applied correctly to payments.• Create and maintain vendor records in QuickBase and help keep master data current, complete, and accurate.• Provide administrative support for audits and account clearing activities by gathering records, researching issues, and preparing summary information.• Assist with year-end inventory support and contribute to process improvement efforts within accounts payable operations.
