Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a growing team supporting accounting and operational activities in Overland Park, Kansas. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who combines strong financial accuracy with hands-on experience in e-commerce environments and Oracle NetSuite. The person in this role will help maintain reliable financial records, support day-to-day operational workflows, and contribute to process improvements across the business.Responsibilities:• Manage daily accounting activities, including transaction review, postings, and support for routine financial operations.• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key ledgers to ensure complete and accurate reporting.• Use Oracle NetSuite to maintain financial data, monitor system activity, and support ongoing accounting workflows.• Partner with operations and e-commerce teams to align order activity, payment records, and financial results.• Investigate discrepancies in financial or transactional data and resolve issues in a timely manner.• Prepare reports and supporting documentation for month-end close and other recurring accounting deadlines.• Assist with administrative and analytical tasks tied to business operations, including updates to financial processes or system-related procedures.• Help improve internal controls, reporting consistency, and overall efficiency within accounting operations.
