About the job
Are you a B2B content marketer with the writing chops to produce content that actually gets read, the strategic sense to make it rank across traditional and AI search, and the operator mindset to run a program that compounds over time? Maybe you've done this at a growth-stage SaaS or enterprise tech company, or you've led content for a client at an agency and now you're ready to jump in-house and run it at global scale. Maybe you've been frustrated writing content you knew was good that nobody ever found because SEO was an afterthought. Or maybe you're the content strategist cursing a thin editorial calendar and a bench of freelancers nobody is directing.
If you've ever wanted the freedom to run a content marketing program the way it should be run (strategy, execution, and freelancer orchestration in the same seat), this is the role you've been daydreaming about.
At TransPerfect you'll get a clean canvas, a budget for a freelancer bench to direct, a stable of market-leading technologies and services worth writing about (starting with GlobalLink), and the autonomy to run your program your way. Most importantly, you'll get accountability for the outcomes that actually matter: rankings, pipeline, and earned placements. The results will be yours.
This isn't a desk writer job. You will write, strategize, direct, and ship. You lead content marketing for our SEO, AEO, and demand programs, and you decide what gets made, when, and by whom to serve those goals.
Day to day, you'll: • Write long-form content on TransPerfect's technology and service capabilities, with heavy emphasis on GlobalLink • Write ad copy, landing page copy, and other short-form assets with CRO instincts so the campaigns around your content actually convert • Build and direct a bench of freelance writers so the program's output exceeds what one person can produce alone • Craft briefs sharp enough to produce the content you'd write yourself, review drafts rigorously, and hold a high bar across every piece shipped • Partner with the SEO team on content strategy aligned to SEO, AEO, and GEO goals • Pitch and place bylines, contributed articles, and other earned media across the publications that matter to your audience • Partner with product marketing on technical accuracy and positioning • Partner with demand generation and performance marketing on content that fuels campaigns and feeds pipeline • Partner with our editorial and corporate comms teams on brand voice, standards, and alignment with our broader press-facing narrative What's the directive? Write stuff worth reading. Make it rank. Earn pipeline and press.
What matters most The must-haves are a strong B2B writing portfolio and a track record of running a content operation that produced measurable business outcomes. Long-form writing is where you shine, but you can switch gears to short-form copywriting when a landing page or an ad needs to convert. Not just beautiful prose. Not just operations. Not just briefs for others. You need to have a blend of it all.
You understand how content earns its keep in modern B2B marketing: rankings in traditional search, visibility in AI search surfaces, pipeline impact through gated and ungated assets, and credibility through earned media. You design your output to serve those outcomes.
The measurables
- 5 to 8 years of B2B content marketing experience, with a portfolio of long-form work (white papers, guides, articles, solution briefs) you can show
- Native-level English fluency, written and verbal
- Strong track record of writing B2B content that performs in search (SEO), and ideally in AI search (AEO, GEO)
- Proficiency in short-form copywriting with CRO instincts for ads and landing pages
- Hands-on experience managing a bench of freelance writers: sourcing, briefing, editing, and keeping quality consistent
- Experience with earned media: pitching bylines, placing contributed articles, building publication relationships
- Comfort writing about complex technology and services, with the ability to go deep technically or stay accessible depending on the audience
- Based in London or Barcelona
- Bachelor's degree
Nice to have: experience in language services, localization, SaaS, or enterprise technology. Hands-on with AI tools in content workflows (research, drafting assistance, editing, SEO optimization). Experience writing for multilingual markets. Experience with content performance analytics and using insights to shape output.
This job isn't for everyone A career in writing doesn't qualify you for this on its own. This is a unique role that requires a unique person. You'll be the strategist, the writer, the freelancer manager, and the person pitching the bylines. If you want to be handed topics by someone else and left alone to type, this isn't it. If you want to run a content marketing function that compounds over time and produces real business impact, the credit for the results will be yours. We think this is a better way to do content marketing.
Applicants should expect to share a portfolio with long-form work they are proud of, along with examples of landing page or ad copy they have written.
