Job Description As a Licensed Practical Nurse for our inpatient rehab unit at our destination rehab center, you will provide care to a variety of conditions and treatment plans including; stroke, neuro, spine, transplant and trauma rehab patients. This medical surgical nurse position will practice at the top of the LPN licensure while adhering to the SLHS policies and procedures. With RN guidance and oversight, the LPN will perform assessments, administer medications, and more, while collaborating with various care team members including therapists, providers, and other ancillary departments. This is a great opportunity to work with leading technology and robotics in a new facility. Our rehab institute is a destination rehab center enhancing how we provide rehabilitation patient care in the Midwest.
IV certification required
Shift: Full Time Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, 3 shifts per week)
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process
- Performs patient care
- Delegates patient care tasks
- Supervises other patient care staff.
- Consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
To be successful in the position, you will need to be flexible, adaptable, open to feedback and eager to learn. Rehab experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with Dialysis, Transplant or Neuro preferred, but not required. Strong communication with a desire to work with a care team to provide patient care is important.
