Human Resources (HR) Business Partner

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support a food and food processing operation in Carson, California on a Contract assignment during a high-volume seasonal period. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR team member who can work closely with leaders and employees, address workplace concerns with sound judgment, and provide practical day-to-day guidance in a fast-paced setting. The position will play a key part in maintaining compliance, supporting core HR processes, and helping operations run smoothly during a busy time of year.Responsibilities:• Partner with managers and employees across operations and call center teams to deliver responsive, practical HR support.• Lead employee relations efforts by reviewing workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and recommending appropriate corrective action.• Advise supervisors and staff on leave practices, attendance matters, and established HR policies and procedures.• Coordinate onboarding tasks such as employment eligibility verification and background screening follow-up.• Provide support for Workday activities and assist with HR system-related updates, troubleshooting, and process execution.• Collaborate with HR leadership and fellow HR partners to ensure consistent service and issue resolution across the workforce.• Guide managers on performance management, policy interpretation, and employment law compliance, with attention to California requirements.• Contribute to daily HR administration and step into special projects or urgent operational needs as priorities shift.
