Our location in Cape Girardeau, MO currently has an opportunity for a Pediatric Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospitals and office settings.
Responsibilities
- Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office service area for Similac and PediaSure.
- Hospital negotiations and contracting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
- New product launches.
- An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
- Effective administrative skills.
- Budget management.
- Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
- Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short and long term goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Individuals with healthcare sales experience, as well as healthcare professionals (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses) with experience in pediatrics.
- The ideal candidate will be technically knowledgeable with a minimum of two years sales experience.
Territory
- The ideal candidate will live in/around Cape Girardeau, MO. Also open to candidates in Marion, IL and Carbondale, IL,
- Travel up to 2 hours in territory depending on where you live. Possible 1-2 overnights per month.
- 5-10% Travel for District/Regional meetings and trainings

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
