Position Engineer - Design Department Pre-Bid Job Location Mumbai Reporting to Head - Design & Engineering Educational QualificationB.E/ B.Tech. Civil Masters in Structural Engineering preferredYears of Experience & Preferred IndustryMinimum 3 years' experience From Structural Steel industry having extensive exposure to PEB Designs. Exposure to steel connection design is an added advantage.Critical Skills Required (Technical/ Behavioural/ General)Knowledge of Main Frame Designs, Crane Beams, Mezzanines etc with IS, AISC & MBMA specs. Interacting with clients for capture the requirements, Reviewing Proposal / GA Drawings. Technical & Analytical Expertise in PEB design Knowledge of Composite Steel Concrete design Familiar with aspects of steel construction and steel fabrication proceduresMajor Delivera bles/ Key Result AreasHands on experience in main frame & connection design for PEB structures. Analysis, Design and Detail Engineering of Steel frame. Interpret Design Analysis report and suggest improvements and optimisations. Prepare technical specifications, tender documents and estimation, design basis report, etc. Deal with clients, sub consultants, independently Provide technical guidance to drafting and junior engineering personnel and co-ordinate design and drafting work within assigned area Make calculations, sketch steel connection details, conduct analyses and studies as necessary to complete design workGeneral Tasks & Responsibili tiesGuide and interact in house structural team, project engineers and outside structural consultants working on our projects. Practical understanding of structures, specifications and detailed drawings for buildings and other structures. Preparation of concept design in pre-bid stage to assess feasibility of project to our plant and construction capabilities. Preparation of Design Basis Report, Project Feasibility reports and Scheme designs. Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants and other related agenciesIT Skills Desire dProficient in structural software like StaadPro & ETABS to review and prepare computational models Should have working knowledge of AutoCAD and Tekla. experience 5 working at a client of randstad india
