Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative R&D leader with 15+ years of experience in Research & Development, including at least 5 years in an R&D management role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong culture of innovation, collaborative leadership, and expertise in the following areas:
- Strong knowledge of the battery, energy storage, and electric vehicle (EV) industry
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process management skills
- Innovative mindset with the ability to develop creative and commercially viable solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management capabilities
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Drive and coordinate multidisciplinary R&D teams to achieve strategic business and technology objectives.
- Provide strong project and technical leadership for teams responsible for the design, development, and validation of innovative products.
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring successful transition from design to volume production.
- Oversee all design control activities throughout the product development lifecycle, including:
- Collection of design inputs and feasibility assessments
- Development of product specifications and requirements
- Establishment of design verification and validation strategies
- Leadership of risk assessment and risk management activities
- Planning and management of project timelines, resources, and budgets
- Facilitation of design reviews and technical decision-making processes
- Identify, evaluate, and implement best-in-class technologies to support the Group's technology roadmap and innovation strategy.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, enabling Forsee Power to deliver meaningful and market-leading solutions to customers and partners.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturability, cost competitiveness, product reliability and production efficiency.
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, consultants, research institutions, and universities to accelerate innovation and value creation.
- Provide technical leadership during customer engagements, supporting business development activities, technical reviews, RFQs and key customer escalation management.
- Lead the development, coaching, and performance management of R&D employees, ensuring the effective implementation of training programs, career development plans, and performance evaluation processes.
- Manage and develop highly skilled engineering teams across Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Hardware Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, System Engineering, Simulation and Modeling, Testing and Validation and Cell Technology
