ASIC Physical Design, Staff Engineer

We Are Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You Are You have spent years staring at timing reports that most people would find incomprehensible, and somewhere along the way you developed an instinct for what will break before it actually does. High performance memory IP like DDR, LPDDR, and HBM does not forgive sloppy timing closure, and you know that the difference between a design that ships and one that gets re-spun is usually a constraint you caught at 2am or a corner case you refused to ignore. You are the engineer who gets pulled into the room when timing looks impossible. Not because you have magic, but because you know how to read between the setup and hold violations, prioritize what actually matters, and script your way out of manual tedium. You have debugged asynchronous crossings enough times to know when a waiver is justified and when it is just wishful thinking. Automation is not a nice-to-have for you, it is how you stay sane. You write Python and Tcl scripts that do the repetitive work so you can focus on the hard decisions. At Synopsys, you will work on memory and SoC IP that powers some of the most performance-critical silicon in the industry, and the timing closure work you do will directly determine whether those designs meet their targets. <h3 style='--tw-border-spacing-x: 0; --tw-border-spacing-y: 0; --tw-translate-x: 0; --tw-translate-y: 0; --tw-rotate: 0; --tw-skew-x: 0; --tw-skew-y: 0; --tw-scale-x: 1; --tw-scale-y: 1; --tw-pan-x: ; --tw-pan-y: ; --tw-pinch-zoom: ; --tw-scroll-snap-strictness: proximity; --tw-gradient-from-position: ; --tw-gradient-via-position: ; --tw-gradient-to-position: ; --tw-ordinal: ; --tw-slashed-zero: ; --tw-numeric-figure: ; --tw-numeric-spacing: ; --tw-numeric-fraction: ; --tw-ring-inset: ; --tw-ring-offset-width: 0px; --tw-ring-offset-color: #fff; --tw-ring-color: rgb(59 130 246/0.5); --tw-ring-offset-shadow: 0 0 #0000; --tw-ring-shadow: 0 0 #0000; --tw-shadow: 0 0 #0000; --tw-shadow-colored: 0 0 #0000; --tw-blur: ; --tw-brightness: ; --tw-contrast: ; --tw-grayscale: ; --tw-hue-rotate: ; --tw-invert: ; --tw-saturate: ; --tw-sepia: ; --tw-drop-shadow: ; --tw-backdrop-blur: ; --tw-backdrop-brightness: ; --tw-backdrop-contrast: ; --tw-backdrop-grayscale: ; --tw-backdrop-hue-rotate: ; --tw-backdrop-invert: ; --tw-backdrop-opacity: ; --tw-backdrop-saturate: ; --tw-backdrop-sepia: ; --tw-contain-size: ; --tw-contain-layout: ; --tw-contain-paint: ; --tw-contain-style: ; box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px solid rgb(229, 231, 235); font-size: 1.25rem; font-weight: 600; margin: 0px; padding-bottom: 0.25rem; padding-top: 0.375rem; line-height: 1.75rem; color: rgb(16, 27, 35); font-family: Roboto, 'Roboto Fallback'; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; text-d
