You Are You have spent the last few years deep in FPGA design and implementation, and you have learned that the real work begins when a customer's design does not compile the way they expected or when partitioning across multiple FPGAs creates timing issues no one saw coming. You are the engineer who stays on the call until the problem is solved, not because you have to, but because leaving something half-fixed bothers you. You are comfortable reading Verilog or SystemVerilog that someone else wrote, understanding what they were trying to do, and figuring out why the synthesis tool is choking on it. You know your way around FPGA architecture well enough to explain why a design that worked fine in simulation is failing in hardware, and you can do it in a way that does not make the customer feel like they missed something obvious. Working with customers energizes you. You like the variety of problems, the pressure of real deadlines, and the satisfaction of helping someone get unstuck. You do not need everything documented perfectly to move forward.
