ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage AI company as its founding product designer and engineer. You will shape how operators interact with AI agents, establishing the product's visual craft and interface patterns from the ground up.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take product ideas from sketch to production, owning user flows and frontend implementation.
- Design and build interfaces that make complex workflows clear and help users understand what to do next.
- Explore interaction patterns that make AI agents understandable, useful, and trustworthy.
- Create reusable components and design systems to help the team build and ship consistent interfaces.
- Work directly with customers, test prototypes, and refine the product based on feedback.
- Partner with backend engineers to bring designed experiences into production.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Four or more years designing and building products at fast-growing startups, or exceptional early-career work that demonstrates strong product taste and shipping ability.
- Product design or design engineering experience, with ownership of user flows and interface decisions.
- A portfolio or personal website featuring contemporary product interfaces you personally took from concept to production.
- Strong UI/UX judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to explain design decisions and the business logic behind workflows.
- Production experience with React and TypeScript, and the ability to build interfaces independently.
- Initiative, comfort with evolving priorities, and interest in exploring AI agent experiences.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $160,000 to $220,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
On-site in New York, New York, United States.
