Infrastructure Engineer

About the company Our client is a technology company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as an early infrastructure hire, owning cloud environments and delivery pipelines for a growing technical team. Work closely with the existing infrastructure engineer to strengthen current systems and deliver new projects as the organization scales. What you'll do - Own and extend the cloud footprint, including compute, networking, access management, storage and observability. - Keep infrastructure reproducible and reviewable through infrastructure-as-code tooling. - Run CI/CD pipelines end to end, improving reliability, speed and developer experience. - Work alongside the existing infrastructure engineer to execute on current architecture and remove blockers for engineering and research teams. - Keep systems healthy through monitoring and incident handling, while managing spend and tightening security across container orchestration environments. - Take on special projects such as new services, environments and tooling as the team grows. Requirements What we're looking for - Around 7 years of infrastructure engineering experience. - Deep, recent cloud experience running production workloads. - Strong ownership of infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD. - Background at a company with a very high engineering bar or a fast-moving startup. - Solid engineering fundamentals and the ability to write and ship production code. - Currently based in the Bay Area. Bonus points - Experience with machine learning infrastructure. - Experience in research-heavy environments or labs. - Electrical or mechanical engineering background. Benefits Compensation and benefits - Base salary: USD 200,000 to 300,000 per year - Equity Location and work model - Palo Alto, CA, United States - On-site, 5 days per week in office - Full-time
