Payroll Specialist

An established manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a busy production workforce. This position is especially well suited for someone who enjoys working through timekeeping details, investigating discrepancies, and partnering with supervisors to make sure employees are paid correctly and on time.Key Responsibilities:Process weekly and biweekly payroll for hourly production, warehouse, and administrative employees.Audit employee timecards, shift differentials, overtime, attendance, and missed punches.Collect and verify supervisor approvals before payroll deadlines.Enter new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and employee deductions.Investigate payroll discrepancies and respond to employee questions.Maintain payroll files and assist with wage garnishments and payroll deductions.Prepare payroll summaries and support periodic audits and reconciliations.
