Human Resources (HR) Coordinator

We are looking for an organized Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support onboarding operations for a Contract position based in Houston, Texas (77021). In this role, you will guide new employees through each step of the pre-employment and start-date process while helping maintain compliance and a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate brings strong administrative ability, clear communication skills, and a detail-focused approach to managing multiple onboarding activities at once.Responsibilities:• Oversee the onboarding journey from accepted offer through first-day readiness, ensuring each milestone is completed on schedule.• Administer pre-employment steps such as background screenings, drug testing, employment verification, and collection of required paperwork.• Lead new employee orientation activities and provide timely guidance so employees are prepared for a smooth start.• Complete and review Form I-9 documentation and employment eligibility verification in accordance with required deadlines and compliance standards.• Maintain accurate employee and onboarding information within HR systems and related records management tools.• Track the progress of onboarding tasks, follow up on pending items, and resolve issues that could affect scheduled start dates.• Assist with internal compliance reviews, I-9 audit support, and reporting related to onboarding activity and documentation status.• Update onboarding resources, procedural documents, and checklists while recommending improvements that increase efficiency and consistency.
