Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Material Management • Develop and approve production plans based on sales orders, capacity and delivery commitments. • Ensure effective communication of production plans to all manufacturing departments. • Plan raw material requirements in coordination with Sales, Procurement and Production. • Maintain optimum inventory levels and ensure timely material availability. • Monitor production schedules and resolve planning gaps to achieve delivery commitments
Production Operations & Capacity Utilization
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
- Monitor production performance, capacity utilization and operational efficiency.
- Conduct daily production review meetings and drive corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to maximize equipment availability and plant uptime.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery and production resources
Operational Excellence & Cost Optimization
- Establish productivity and optimization standards for manpower and machinery.
- Drive initiatives to improve productivity, reduce cycle time and eliminate operational losses.
- Monitor rejection, wastage and resource utilization to achieve cost efficiency.
- Implement value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Quality, Systems & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements, QMS and ISO standards.
- Drive implementation of SOPs, process audits and manufacturing best practices.
- Monitor quality performance, rejection trends and corrective actions.
- Lead implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing and process standardization initiatives.
- Support quality certifications and continuous process improvements.
Customer Delivery & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure timely production and dispatch as per customer commitments.
- Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Dispatch for seamless operations.
- Resolve production constraints affecting delivery schedules and customer satisfaction.
- Support new product introductions and execution of priority customer orders.
