Deputy Manager - Strategic Sourcing

Position: Deputy Manager - Strategic Sourcing Function: Strategic Sourcing Region: NABased at: Bangalore Reports to: ManagingDirector Reportees: 1 Key Purpose Responsible for strategic sourcing and execution for the Company's purchasing operation. Key Responsibilities 1. Identify and qualify potential suppliers based on key selection parameters and audit through a transparent filtration process which should deliver us long term business partners. 2. Strategically source and negotiate pricing, terms & conditions and manage contracts, agreements and renewals. 3. Implement all purchasing strategies, policies & procedures for both products and services in conjunction with the functional heads. 4. Provide inputs for the annual purchasing plan & budget based on the sales plan focusing on cost management, price reduction opportunities, just in time delivery, inventory carrying levels reduction. Execute action plans to achieve the targets set. 5. Develop, establish, implement & enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations and service level agreements to the organization. 6. Monitor vendor, service provider, outsourcer and / or contractor performance by measuring quality, cost & delivery, development responsiveness / lead times. 7. Monitor & analyze trends in company's spending and inventory control in order to make purchasing recommendations for the future, identify areas for possible savings and secure more cost effective & reliable sources of products & services. 8. Customer on time delivery performance is the primary performance measure for this function. Profile 1. Right Organisation - Multinational engineering company in a professional process driven manufacturing environment. 2. Right Function - Purchasing, Vendor/ Product development in a mechanical engineering / high technology engineering company. 3. Right Position - Asst Manager/ Deputy Manager in the above function. 4. Right Qualification - B.E Mech, MBA.5. Right Experience - 8 to 10 years' experience, 5 years minimum relevant experience, 34 ± 2 years. 6. Competence & Capabilities - Excellent market research and negotiation skills. - Passion for minimizing costs and maximizing profits - Proven track record in purchasing, price negotiations and delivering results. - Vendor development of sheet metal, fabricated, plastic, light engineering components. - Specialized product & process engineering knowledge - Significant manufacturing processes knowledge - Lean manufacturing / continual improvement background - Well organized with good communication & analytical skills - Project management - Continuous learning capability. - ERP functional knowledge, strong business & quality management process understanding. experience 18 working at a client of randstad india
